Novel linear accelerators

Recent breakthroughs in our understanding of RF breakdown has led us to novel designs of linear accelerators. These designs have higher gradients, higher efficiency, are more compact and more economical to manufacture. Because the individual accelerating cells are uncoupled, our designs have unprecedented degrees of freedom when designing for custom applications. Our accelerator design tools are sufficiently mature to enable development of accelerators that are optimized for our customers's operational constraints.

Novel RF Sources

We have designed a high efficiency klystron that uses periodic permanent magnet focusing and a much lower high voltage power supply for operation. By combining these klystrons with an RF combining technology we can generate high RF peak power with much lower high voltage operation, leading to more compact, higher efficiency RF sources for accelerators. The peak power can be scaled almost without limit.

RF Components

Recent improvements in our understanding of the physics of RF system and components have led us to new designs for existing RF components. For example, we have a design for a novel high power RF isolator that is expected to have much better performance, higher reliability, scalability and will be more economical to manufacture.
